Keeping a Nature Journal

Life is happening all around us from the tallest tree growing taller to the smallest microbes living in the ground feeding off of the leaf litter that fell the previous fall.  For most of us we are so busy running around we forget to take the time to notice what is happening right around us in leaves emerging, birds feeding their young, or squirrels collecting food for winter.

Spring is the perfect time to slow down and take the time to observe what is happening around you.  A fun and creative way to help you slow down is by starting a Nature Journal.  Find a spot in your favorite place to visit outdoors and sit for just a half hour.  During this time watch, write, and draw.
